The Brides of Harmon Junction #2
The Sheriff Takes a Wife
Autumn's Story
by Nancy Pirri
After arriving home from her last modeling job, thirty-two-year-old city woman, Summer
Sanders, discovers her young sister, Autumn, has moved to rural Minnesota based on an online advertisement she found: “Harmon Junction, Minnesota is looking for brides.” Summer travels to Minnesota, knowing it’s too late to stop her sister from making the biggest mistake of her life.
Thirty-six-year-old Sheriff Nathaniel Whitefeather finds he can’t get the blonde beauty out of his mind after issuing her a speeding ticket as she enters Harmon Junction. And with just a few phone calls he discovers her license in California has been revoked for non-payment of parking tickets and he can’t allow her to drive until she pays the fines, and he receives word her license has been re-instated.
Summer finds Nathaniel as infuriating as he is handsome, and the sparks fly between them each time they’re together. Summer has her work cut out for her, though, as she tries to talk Autumn into moving back to California. But the longer she stays in Harmon Junction the more she realizes there’s something about the town—Something about the sheriff—that makes her want to stay. But she has a dream to follow, and it’s back in California.
