Kate Riley is a professional business coach, facilitator, artist, and author of The Last Cathar, The Greening of the Laurel, and Love is a Leap. Having grown up in a haunted house, Kate started searching for her own answers to the unexplained at an early age, leading to a lifelong passion for anything to do with things esoteric. When she’s not writing, she enjoys expanding her culinary talents accompanied with a nice glass of red wine, delving into the mysteries of Oak Island, and adding to her already out-of-control library.

As a seasoned traveler, Kate has been able to combine her wanderlust with first-hand research for her books, whether at Montségur in France, the streets of Florence in Italy, collecting information on the Knights Templar in Scotland, or sharing a Guinness with friends and family in a Dublin pub.

Kate is blessed with five talented grandchildren, 3 rescue cats, and her beloved canine protector, Stoker. She currently lives in Innisfil ON.
