Diana Welker lives part-time in the Midwest and part-time in the Southeast.

Her thirty-year career revolved around gems and gold. After leaving the jewelry industry, she freelanced for a regional magazine writing articles of local interest.

Her love of reading and storytelling resulted in a second career of writing romance novels sprinkle with mystery and jewels of all types. She has a story entitled “Tickled Pink” in the Southwest Florida Romance Writer of America anthology From Florida with Love.

Besides her love of nature’s most colorful treasure, she enjoys travel, photography, and history. She has researched her family's British ancestry as well as her husband's multi-faceted European background, finding the time to sign up for mini-courses as a 'mature' student to learn more about the lives and scandals of the European and Russian monarchies.
