Heidi J. Hewett is an avid reader and writer with wide-ranging passion for mysteries, romance, non-linear narratives, and speculative science fiction: anything that hooks her curiosity and makes her think! As an adult she took up the violin because of Sherlock Holmes and now plays badly but with gusto. When she is not reading or writing, she inflicts her culinary creativity on her family and enjoys tinkering with recipes and strange food combinations in the kitchen. Ms. Hewett has a degree in Classics from St. John’s College, two master’s degrees, and currently lives in Illinois with her husband and two rambunctious, small children who more than make up for a lack of pets.
